TIV Valves of Pietro Fiorentini Group on the 24th of August participated in the round table set up to discuss the renewal of API Specification 6D.

The remote meeting was attended by the most important oil companies and the main valve manufacturers on the Italian and international scene. The aim was to share ideas and observations regarding the requisite for the new edition of API 6D, the Specification for pipeline and piping valves issued by the American Petroleum Institute, an association that represents all the companies in the Oil & Gas sector worldwide.

The normative updates proposed during the meeting will be submitted to the API committee which will evaluate whether to include them in the 25th edition of the Specification, which will be published around the middle of 2021.

It also represents the opportunity to establish relationships with the most important stakeholders in the Oil & Gas sector, including the American Petroleum Institute.”
